Anavar is one of the most popular and most trusted anabolic steroids on the market today. Many people wonder how these steroids get their start, too. Most of the products used by bodybuilders and athletes today serve important medical purposes, and Anavar is certainly no exception. In fact, many doctors still write prescriptions for this powerful and helpful drug.
Design and Development
Raphael Pappo, a scientist at Searle Laboratories (now Pfizer) first designed and developed oxandrolone, which is the chemical name for Anavar for sale, back in 1964. At the time, researchers and scientists were looking for new ways to treat “wasting diseases”, which left patients unable to maintain muscle mass or gain weight. The steroid was so successful that it successfully changed patients’ lives, allowing them to regain their strength and muscle mass without intolerable side effects.
Treatment of HIV/AIDS
At the start of the AIDS epidemic in the early 1980s, scientists struggled to pinpoint the cause of the disease. They understood within a short time that HIV/AIDS was an autoimmune disorder, and since no cure was available at the time, they could only treat the symptoms. During this time, Anavar and Anadrol (which is another anabolic steroid) were the drugs of choice for these patients. They proved successful when it came to helping patients regain their muscle mass without excessive bloating, and many regained their strength and appetites, too.
Aside from its effectiveness in treating wasting diseases, Anavar also has the uncanny ability to help burn victims heal. In one double-blind study on patients who had more than 40% of their bodies affected by burns, those treated with oxandrolone healed, regained muscle mass, and thereby left the hospital much more quickly than those who did not receive the oxandrolone. Researchers also noted that the side effects were minimal, thus proclaiming the drug “safe” when used in a controlled environment at the right doses.
Although Anavar has been in bodybuilding and athletic circles since its inception, it did not become mainstream until the early 2000s. At this time, “Muscle Media 2000”, a respected publication for fitness enthusiasts, openly discussed steroids. It was in this publication that Anavar received the highest possible rating regarding its risk to benefit ratio. Essentially, the magazine told the world that Anavar produced outstanding results with very little toxicity, and the steroid suddenly became one of the most coveted anywhere in the world.
Today, Anavar is by far the world’s most popular oral anabolic steroid. Athletes use it at the front of a cycle to kick-start their gains, and many use it on the back end of their cycles as part of their post-cycle therapy, as well. Depending on the stack, it is popular for cutting or bulking. Although the use of anabolic steroids without a prescription is illegal in many parts of the world due to the inherent risks associated with misuse, it is worth noting that many of these chemicals, namely Anavar, are completely safe when used responsibly.
Anavar has a long and powerful history of helping sick patients heal, or at the very least enjoy a better quality of life. Today, it is popular among athletes who want to enhance their strength, stamina, and visual appeal without the harsh side effects some other anabolic steroids cause.
